Depression
Depth therapy in Vancouver for low mood and depression — for when going through the motions has slowly replaced actually living.
Sound familiar?
It's not always sadness. Sometimes it's the colour draining out of things.
Maybe it's a heaviness you drag through the day, or a flatness where interest and pleasure used to be. Getting going takes everything you have. You might be hard on yourself, convinced you should be able to just snap out of it, which only adds another layer. From the outside you may look fine; inside, you're running on fumes.
You've heard the advice — exercise, sunlight, gratitude. None of it is wrong, and none of it quite reaches the thing underneath.
What's underneath
Low mood is rarely random. It can be grief that hasn't been grieved, anger that turned inward, a life quietly out of alignment, or parts of you that shut down because feeling became too much. Often, depression is the cost of carrying something heavy for a very long time.
Rather than only managing symptoms, we get curious about what your low mood might be expressing or protecting — because that's usually where real movement begins.
How I work
I won't push relentless positivity at you, and I won't rush you. We go gently, making room for what's actually there — including the parts that feel hard to admit. Here, warmth and steadiness matter more than techniques.
Drawing on EFT, AEDP, and depth work, we slowly help you reconnect with feeling, with meaning, and with yourself.
Where this leads
Over time, the heaviness tends to lift in places. Energy and interest return, self-criticism softens into something kinder, and meaning starts to feel possible again — not as a performance of being fine, but as genuinely coming back to life.
